Quad Tank is run with no DPS, it's just 4 tanks and 2 healers. I doubt the game is ever gonna go back to that phase again.
You honestly don't need to know about moth meta, it was just about a half year span where Mercy had insta rez/two rezes per ult, and everyone found the fights long and just not fun. Ana’s nanoboost used to buff speed so nano on ulting reaper meant he could spin really fast and kill everything like the show about battling tops. Strat is that there is enough spam and peel that diving any part of the team will result in the divers dieing immediately without killing anything.Īnother old meta that had a name but will probably never come back is the beyblade meta. Quad tank is sort of anti-dive especially with Brigitte but the traditional anti-dive comp is orisa/hog for tanks and then junkrat/widow for dps with zen/mercy for heals. Supports are lucio to speed up slow tanks and then either mercy or Moira to keep tanks alive with tons of healing. Tanks are rein+2-3 of Zarya/dva/roadhog depending on meta. Triple/quad tank will usually include a burst damage hero on dps (junkrat, soldier 76, Hanzo, reaper).
Junkrat isn’t a dive hero I’m pretty sure teams always run orisa when they’ve got junkrat. DPS varies depending one exactly how you plan to attach but traditionaly dive is tracer/genji or tracer/pharah but owl has developed a kind of hybrid dive with widowmaker or mccree on some maps. Early on supports were lucio for speed and zen for discord but lately mercy has replaced lucio since damage boost and Rez are so much more valuable. The meta names at this point are more strategies than specific comps and are mostly defined by the tanks.ĭive is dva/winston.
